Mob Programming with Woody Zuill (Thurs, Jul 13)

July 13 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

mob-programming-1-1024[3]Would you be interested in investigating, exploring, and trying a way of working that might give you:

shorter lead times?
fewer bugs?
more knowledge transfer?
shorter feedback loops?
happier co-workers that know each other better?
a climate in the team that improves our ability to contribute well?
a decreased need for status and planning meetings?
an environment of amplified learning?
an effective way of on-boarding new team members?

Please join us for a full day hands-on Mob Programming workshop!

Mob Programming is a cost-effective, collaborative and fun way to get work done together. It’s a whole-team approach to development, where coding, designing, testing, and working with the “customer” (Partner, Product Owner, User, etc.) is all done as a team.

Participants in this workshop experience Mob Programming hands-on while learning the mechanics of how to work together as a Mob and the techniques that make this form of development so effective.

Learn how a “Mob” performs sample project work, including user stories, prioritization, test-driven development, refactoring, and retrospectives.

Designed by Mob Programming pioneer Woody Zuill, this workshop provides a hands-on education in the art of mobbing and it’s significant benefits for your teams. You’ll get experience through activities and coding exercises to introduce basic concepts to learn about the nature of software development and working well on a team.

We’ll share the Driver/Navigator teamwork model, and the roles and techniques that have worked well for us, explore the Importance of Retrospectives, how to focus on the good, and perhaps a few advanced Mob Programming concepts.

We’ll have interactive dialogues, simulations, hands-on exercises and videos, and try to make things as lively and interactive as we can.
